New India policy will ‘curb coke imports’

The Indian government says it will develop a policy to limit petroleum coke imports into the country after the Supreme Court banned its consumption in a number of northern states surrounding Delhi. The oil ministry, in consultation with the ministries of environment, commerce and industry, and finance, will shape a policy to curb petroleum coke imports, India’s oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan said.
