Rosneft refnery throughputs fall

Russian state-controlled Rosneft refnery throughputs fell by 7pc on the year in January-June to 2.1mn b/d. Domestic throughputs declined by 4.8pc to 1.9mn b/d because of planned maintenance and optimisation in response to demand during the period. The efciency of domestic refning deteriorated in the frst quarter of this year, adversely afected by tax manoeuvres, which pushed up crude prices, and a government-imposed obligation on oil frms to increase domestic motor fuel deliveries, which resulted in oversupply and lower wholesale prices.
