Fuel coke: Us Gulf markets largely steady

The fob US Gulf high-sulphur petroleum coke assessment was unchanged this week, although prices were heard in an unusu- ally wide range based on timing and destination. The US Gulf coast 6.5pc sulphur coke price was assessed at $33.50/t, but some market participants pegged pricing nearly $5/t above and below this level amid volatile freight rates and the backwardation for May-June deliveries.
