Argentina's refning recovery mixed

Two plants in Argentina's largest refning complex run by state-controlled YPF were set to shut yesterday for planned mainte-nance scheduled to last about 45 days. The stop will afect the Vacuum B and Topping C plants, two of the 26 units at the 189,000 b/d La Plata refning com-plex in Buenos Aires province, a company ofcial said. The planned maintenance will not afect output as YPF's three refneries with close to 600,000 b/d of capacity are op-erating at around 60-65pc amid a decline in demand because of lockdown measures to stem the spread of Covid-19. YPF also operates the 105,000 b/d Lujan de Cuyo refnery in western Mendoza province and the 25,000 b/d Plaza Huincul refnery in southwestern Neuquen province.
