China group stops publishing key coal burn data

China’s coal industry association the CCTD has stopped pub- lishing the daily coal burn data of the six major state-owned coastal utilities — information considered critical for analysing the country’s demand for seaborne coal. The CCTD ceased publishing the data as of 6 July because at least fve of the six fagship coastal utilities have stopped releasing their daily coal burn data. Only Zhejiang Power’s daily coal burn data was still available on CCTD’s website as of yesterday.
