Turkey power producers use more coal

Turkish power sector coal consumption rebounded from May’s two-year low last month but remained down on the year as hydro output continued to be frm. Coal-fred generation declined by 1.2TWh on the year to 3.7TWh last month, but recovered from May’s two-year low of 2.9TWh, according to data from power platform Exchange Istanbul (Exist).
