PBF lightens up US refneries — but not for long

US independent refner PBF Energy has increased light, sweet crude throughputs across a complex refning system built to process heavier feedstock, the company said. But chief executive Tom Nimbley said he expects increased supply and changing global appetites to return the company’s refneries to a heavy, sour slate in the second half of the year.
