摘要

One-third of the pollution in an environment is water pollution caused basically by industrial development and discharge of its effluent into the environment. A work was carried out to analyze the biochemical constituents of Macrotyloma uniflorum (Lam.) Verde. Seeds grown with different concentration of winery wastewater effluent such as 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50%, (v/v) made with tap water. The effect of effluent on tlie biochemical constituents analyzed on 21st day, showed reduction in the total chlorophyll, carotenoids, carbohydrates, and protein but with a hike report in anthocyanin, and on enzymes like peroxidase and catalase on the plants grown with increasing the concentration of effluent than the control seeds grown with tap water, pointingout the stress response of the plants.
