摘要

This study aimed to determination the chronic toxicity of insecticide Abamectin on common carp Cyprinus carpio fish. The chronic toxicity include estimation of both behavioral and histopathological alterations after three and six weeks of chronic exposure to three sublethal concentrations of abamectin were (0.05, 0.07 and 0.09) u/L. The behavioral alteration observed in the fish were movement disturbance with ability to stay in the bottom, nerve movement in addition to decrease in its appetite. The histological changes assessed in four organs were gill, liver, muscles and intestine. In gill these changes were Hyperplasia, hemorrhage, edema, necrosis and congestion. In the liver the changes were observed degenerative hepatocytes, cellular swelling and sinusoidal congestion. The histological changes in muscles were muscular depletion, muscular atrophy and necrosis. While in the intestine the changes were thickening of villi, massive increase in population cellular component of lamina propria and increased the goblet cells. The histological changes observed in C. carpio were more damaged with increased the concentration and exposure period of insecticide Abamectin.
