Crystal nanoparticle arrays of copper compounds were fabricated on surface of aluminum plates by immersing the plates in an aqueous solution of Cu(NO_3)_2 and NaCl. The hydrophobicity of surface was improved by modifying the surface with stearic-acid and was further greatly increased because of the appropriate lacunaris structure of the arrays The colour of surface area was easy switched by adjusting concentration of solution and immersing time It also possessed good superhydrophobicity and stability, and can find a potential application in both preventing metals from corrosion and metal self-cleaning.
