Respiratory diseases in pigs: Mhp, secondary pathogens & inflammation

Porcine Respiratory Disease Complex (PRDC), in which Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (Mhp) is considered a primary pathogen, accounts for more than half of all the treatments administered to growing pigs.A survey conducted by Dr Holtkamp in 2014 concluded that Mhp was the single most costly pathogen in finishing barns.
