The numerical code PARSEC of French-German Research Institute of Saint Louis (ISL) is a Field Panel Method applied to the prediction of the flow field around helicopter rotors in hover. It solves the non linear equation of the velocity potential with an integral method. The Kirchhoff's formula on the blade surfaces is used to solve the linear part of the equation whereas the non linearities of the flow are taken into account in an integral on the volume surrounding the blades. The wake geometry is obtained by downstream displacement accumulation of the mesh nodes of the wake. The code allows both aerodynamic and acoustic computations. Computed results are compared with measurements carried out on the ISL rotor rig and, apart from delocalized how cases, a fair agreement is found. [References: 28]
