摘要

Designed by the use of a spherical involute tooth form. The model is based on the specifications of the differential bevel gear set for a commercial vehicle and is constructed through a 3D CAD modeler (CATIA V5). The CAD model has its own kinematical characteristics of the spherical involute curve that is formulated in terms of the gear coordinate system. In addition, both tooth crowning and profile modification are applied to the model by the formulation of a modified tooth form for simulating the pattern of tooth contact between the bevel gears.
