As its title so clearly suggests, Values in youth sport and physical education is a book devoted to the issues and importance of values for youth participating in sport and physical education. The book contains a blend of theory, research, experience, and practice that draws heavily on the pioneering work of Martin Lee, the eminent UK academic who initiated and so visibly progressed the study of youth sport values through publications, lecturing, developing instruments to assess values, leading major projects and chairing prominent committees in Europe and the UK. The book's editors have, in addition to including key contributions of Martin Lee, recruited a team of expert contributors to the youth sport literature to present current topics from an international perspective.
