Description of Rhabpanus poonchianus sp. n. andSerronema longispfculum sp. n. (Nematoda: Rhabditina) from Jammu and Kashmir State, India

Two new species of Rhabditina (Nematoda) are described and illustrated from Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir State, India. Rhabpanus poonchianus sp. n. is characterized by a small body, 0.37-0.43 mm in length, punctuate cuticle, five lateral lines, six lips, anisomorphic stegostom, long uterine sac, rectum more than three times the length of the anal body diameter, long conoid tail, free, curved, slender spicules, somewhat wedge-shaped gubernaculum, and well-developed leptoderan bursa with eightpairs of bursal papillae in 2+1+2+1+2 arrangement. Serronema longispiculum sp. n. is characterized by a small body less than 0.3mm in length, right side ornamented with cuticular appendages, arranged like the teeth of a saw blade, lips with four prominent setose papillae, stegostom without glottoid apparatus, reproductive system amphidelphic, spicules free, long and slender, gubernaculum with hatchet-shaped terminus, bursa asymmetrical, well-developed on left side and rudimentary on right, bursal papillae five pairs, tail conoid, bifid in male.
