摘要

The sheet metal stamping CAE software usually imports the part's model derived from CAD software and converts it into mesh model for the simulation purpose. This paper explored the mesh model based boundary refining method in preprocess module of CAE software. The model's local concave trends on boundary can be abated by replacing the old boundary with a new one and resulting in an overall smoother boundary. This disposition is beneficial to the construction of reasonable die surface used in calculation module and in line with the practical stamping process's request. The NURBS based complementary surface between the new boundary and the old one is G1 continuous to the part model's original surface. Through application cases of typical auto panel's part model, the feasibility of the method presented in this paper was ascertained.
