摘要

This paper presents the combined effect of internal steel ties and external CFRP wrapping on reinforced high strength concrete columns with CFRP Band wrapping and fully wrapping. A total of six reinforced concrete columns with M40 grade concrete were considered in this study. Out of six columns two served as control specimen, two columns were confined fully with CFRP sheets and the remaining two specimens were confined with band wrapping away from ties. All the column specimens were tested under axial compression until failure in a loading frame of 2000kN capacity. The test results of fully wrapped concrete columns showed higher load carrying capacity than that of band wrapped columns. The thickness of CFRP sheets in 0.35 mm maintained.
