摘要

The objective of the paper is to study the dynamic response of bridge for the moving vehicles. The time history method of dynamic analysis is used in this study where a nodal time history of vehicle load is obtained for different speeds with loaded and unloaded condition of vehicle. Road surface roughness characteristics are also incorporated in the analysis. It is attempted to carryout dynamic analysis by taking into account the realistic vehicle type having maximum frequency of using the bridge than other lighter or heavy vehicle classes as given in IRC. Input parameters are vehicle weight and its varying speed. In the detailed study various stress levels calculation, impact factor evaluation and fatigue life estimation is carried out. Finally, the evaluated results have been verified with IRC codal provision and available literature.
