摘要

A new complex bis(1-acetyl-2-naphtholato)-magnesium(II), has been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and molar conductivity. The crystal structure of [Mg(L)_2(H_2O)2] obtained from methanol solution was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis, crystallized in the orthorhombic system, space group Pbca, a = 33.261 (19) A, b = 7.851(5) A, c = 7.851 (5) A, α = β = γ = 90.00°, Z = 4, R = 0.0491, wR = 0.0491. The complex formed one dimensional chain structure through intramolecule and intermolecule hydrogen bonds. The antibacterial assay of the magnesium(II) complex was tested. The complex shows considerable antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus albus.
