摘要

Genetic diversity among 42 Iraqi rheumatoid arthritis patients was detected through the use of random amplified DNA polymorphism (RAPD) technology. The results revealed high efficiency of RAPD technology in detecting the genetic diversity among IraqiRA patients because there were noticeable differences in the RAPD patterns of the RA patients. The results suggest that RAPD technology can be used in the molecular differentiation between RA patients and healthy subjects, and may or could be useful in individualization the treatment for each RA patient.
