摘要

AbstractThe concentration of heavy metals and chlorophyll a, as well as the number, production and enzymatic activity of bacteria in the surface microlayer (SML) and subsurface water (SUB) of a downtown pond were studied. The concentration of all analysed heavy metals and chlorophyll a, as well as the number of culturable bacteria were higher in the SML than SUB. No difference in the total number of bacteria and level of enzymatic activity in both studied layers was recorded. The rate of secondary production of planktonic bacteria was four times higher compared to neustonic bacteria. Seasonal variation was noted in all studied chemical and microbiological parameters.]]>
