摘要

The effect of applying Friction Stir Processing (FSP) with ZrO_2 nano particles and nano-coating with TiO_2 particles on St37 steel microhardness changes is investigated. In the FSP, the rotational speed is 900 rpm and the traverse speed is 100 mm/min. There is no rotational speed in nano-coating method but the traverse speed is 160 mm/min. Although, a promotion was observed in the microhardness of St37 steel in both methods, the FSP shows morepromising results that lead to less defects such as changes in Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) microhardness.
