摘要

This paper address a new algorithm for image edge detection using exponential entropy with Attanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy set theory. Attanassov's Intuitionistic fuzzy set takes into account the uncertainty in determining the degree of membership known as hesitation degree. A distance measure, called Exponential Intuitionistic Fuzzy Divergence have been introduced. Edge detection is carried out using the suggested distance measure. Experimental results reveal that the proposed method exhibits better performance and may efficiently be used for the detection of edges in images.
