According to a recent finalized study ex- ecuted by the market research company AluMag, 43% of all new electrified vehi- cles (NEVs) produced in China are fitted with an aluminium tray (the lower part of the battery housing). In more detail: 36% of the NEVs have an extruded aluminium tray and 7% have a cast aluminium tray. The remaining 57% are fitted with steel trays.
