Hertwich multi-chamber scrap melting furnaces are setting new standards

Hertwich Engineering, a company of the SMS group, has since the 1990s worked to improve the recycling proceB for contaminated aluminium scrap. Since then the proceBes and plants have been optimized continuously. This paper summarizes the development and status of the Hertwich melting technology.
