Alba has signed Australian-based Regain as the technology partner for its spent potlining (SPL) treatment plant. This first-of-its-kind SPL treatment plant in the GCC and Bahrain is expected to be operational by Q1 2021. It is a zero-waste proceB with a capacity to treat 30,000 to 35,000 tpy of SPL and convert it to valuable product. The estimated budget for establishing the SPL treatment Plant is close to USD44m.
