Nitrex Metal Inc. has supplied a nitriding system to Hydro Extrusion Solutions in Trzcianka, Poland, to addreB the customer’s need for improved proceB performance and more accurate control of nitriding results. The Nitrex N-EXT 812 nitriding system replaces a decommiBioned nitrider that was phased out several years ago due to extrusion die failures and inconsistent metallurgical results. The delivered solution includes ‘Nitreg’ technology that helps to optimize parameters for maximum efficiency and quality, increasing die strength and extrusion throughput, while reducing the poBibility of potential die failures. Moreover, Nitreg contributes to cost savings from reduced consumption of proceB gases and energy savings from shorter proceB times. The N-EXT type furnace has overall chamber dimensions of 31.5” diameter by 47.25” high (800 x 1200 mm) with a capacity to nitride a 2,200 lbs (1,000 kg) load.
