First roll grinding machine for aluminium rolling mills using CBN technology

At the ALUMINIUM 2018 show in Dusseldorf, Heinrich Georg GmbH in Kreuztal, Germany, introduced its new Ultragrind roll grinding machine for aluminium rolling mills. The innovative feature of this machine is the CBN technology. The machine achieves grinding times up to 50% shorter than those needed with conventional grinders, while achieving a superior surface quality and longer roll life times. Furthermore, Georg presented a new vaccum braking roll for slitting lines and a new gantry-type milling machine for aluminium rolling slabs
