Steel manufacturing group: Senate tax bill's passage should spark 232 action

The Senate passage of the tax bill on Dec. 2 frees up the administration to focus on the Section 232 investigation into the national security implications of steel imports, the Steel Manufacturers Association said on Dec. 2. The Senate bill, approved early Dec. 2, differs somewhat from the tax legislation passed by the House last month. Those differences must now be reconciled before a final bill is approved by both chambers and sent to the president, who is eager to sign it.
