China produces close to 60-70% of the world's silicon carbide and fused zirconia supply, producing 700,000-800,000 tonnes per year of silicon carbide out of the 1.2 million tpy globally. Global fused zirconia production totals 75,000-80,000 tpy, of which 45,000-52,500 tpy comes from China.
