Lateral Closed Wedge Osteotomy for Cubitus Varus Deformity in Children

Lateral closed wedge osteotomy is the most commonly used and widely accepted method for the correction of cubitus varus deformity in children despite many types of proposed osteotomy. However fixation of the osteotomy is needed to prevent any loss in achieved correction. The fixation of osteotomy by the two screws and wires has not been found stable enough to hold and maintain the achieved correction. In this study the additional fixation with two lateral k. wires was done and results evaluated.
