Evaluation of Role of Multiple Biomarkers (BNP, TnT, Cystatin-C) in Short Term Prognosis of Heart Failure Patients

Biomarkers in medicine have gained immense scientific and clinical interest in recent years biomarkers are potentially useful. 100 cases of Heart failure patients admitted in PMCH constituted the subjects of study. They were functionally classified as per NYHA functional status. A combined role of three biomarkers (BNP, CTnT, Cystatin C) were studied with significant elevation of all three biomarkers was found to have about 62% patients showing deterioration in NYHA clas/ mortality.
