Black spacer tape lets no light through

As the LED lights within membrane switches have become smaller and better glowing, engineers had to find a possibility of constructing and applying the light-blocking element in a way that prevents even diffuse light from shining through. Lohmann has managed to do this by developing new black spacer tapes. These double-sided PET films coated with modified acrylate prevent light from shining through parts that are not meant to be illuminated. The tapes are fixed between the printable switch and the transparent front decorative film in a way that, when the snap discs are activated, light can get through only where it is needed.
