Krahn Chemie Expands Portfolio with Plasticizers from Ferro

The Hamburg-based Krahn Chemie Group has recently taken over the distribution of the specialty plasticizers of Ferro (Belgium) S.p.r.l. in the regions Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux and Poland.. Ferro is already a longstanding partner of Pi-etro Carini S.p.A. in Italy, which has been part of the Krahn Chemie Group since April 2014. The subsidiaries ICH Benelux and Krahn Chemie Polska will develop the regions Benelux and Poland. Ferro's plasticizer portfolio includes dibenzoates, polymeric plasticizers and benzyl phthalates. These specialty products are used in a broad range of applications such as flexible PVC, paints, coatings, adhesives and sealants. The distribution of plasticizers is one ot Krahn Chemie's core activities. The new products are a complementary addition to Krahn Chemie's existing product range, which also includes plasticizers from ExxonMobil Chernical and non-phtha-late plasticizers from Oxea Chemicals.The decision by Ferro to reorganise the ex-isting distribution network is based on its strategy of close collaboration with a partner who has a deep un-derstanding of the European plasticizers market.
