The paper introduces the production technology and performance of Ba-bearing sulphoaluminate cement. Limestone, gypsum, bauxite and Ba-bearing industry waste residue were used as raw materials to produce Ba-bearing sulphoaluminate cement in a dry process rotary kiln. According to the characteristics of the materials, the method of 'thin materials layer and fast kiln speed, with long flame burning' was adopted. The 1-day compressive strength of the clinker was more than 70 MPa, which proved that the Ba-bearing sulphoaluminate cement was an ideal cement for early strength and rapid hardening. As barium was involved, during the burning process the sintering temperature was lowered, the standard coal consumption decreased, the structure of the clinker was loosened and the output of the mill was improved, which in turn reduced the cost of the cement.
