A series of pot experiments with Rice (PNR-162) were conducted to evaluate the physiological changes of plants in reference with organic manures and humic substances. Humic substances (HS) is now extracted in large scale from coal and used for the enhancement of soil fertility. In this study, soil samples used from Ap layer of highly weathered agricultural soil for assessing crop productivity on a specific Rice crop (PNR-162). Triplicate experimental trials were carried out in pots with and without application of manures and humic substances. Various physiological parameters are assessing every 30days intervals. All of the experimental data were subjected to analysis of variance (ANOVA) and significant effects were detected. This study was planned to determine the changes of physiological parameter of rice crop by application of external amendments as organic, inorganic and HS. At harvest, the quail-quantitative yield characters were determined. These data show large differences in yield characterbetween humic substances and organic manures. Humic substances (HS) contribute higher yield in compare to other application.
