Identification of the Apollo 12 lunar module ascent stage impact site on the moon

The impact site of the Apollo 12 Lunar Module Ascent Stage is identified in Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) images at 3.920 degrees S, 338.828 degrees E. The form of the impact feature and its ejecta, its proximity to the expected location and the absence of any other obvious candidate make the identification compelling.
