Shuhei Aoyama is a young Japanese architect based in Beijing who is widely-known in China through appearances on the covers of popular Chinese magazines and in other media. The reason his renovations of traditional architecture in Beijing are enjoying such high acclaim is deeply connected to his aesthetic sense of space as a Japanese.
