Gold Fields thrives down under

Gold Fields Ltd appears to be rooted to current listings on the JSE and NYSE (secondary) despite the bulk of the company's cash flow and production coming from its Australia operations, where it has thrived for the past 17 years. "[Currently], 43% of gold production and 42% of cash flow comes from Australia and shortly that will be 50% [group production] and heading towards 60% very, very quickly in the next year or two," Gold Fields Australasia executive vice president Stuart Mathews said recently.
