The price of Japanese spot LNG contracts agreed in September averaged $5.40/mn Btu, down by 49.1pc from $10.60/mn Btu a year earlier but up by 1.9pc from $5.30/mn Btu in August, a regular survey by the country’s trade and indus- try ministry Meti indicates.
