Samsung C&t to build thi Vai LnG import terminal

South Korean construction frm Samsung C&T has won a contract to build what could be Vietnam’s frst LNG import terminal, marking a key step forward for a project that is running fve years behind schedule. Construction is due to begin on the 1mn t/yr Thi Vai LNG terminal, around 70km southeast of Hanoi in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, on 30 June, Samsung C&T says. This will put the plant on schedule for completion in October 2022.
