Canadian province approves liquefaction project

The planned Woodfibre LNG export ter- minal in western Canada has received environmental approval from the prov- ince of British Columbia, after gaining the support from the Squamish Nation aboriginal group. The future of the project, in the Howe sound, is unclear because the Squamish Nation is negotiating agreements with Canadian gas utility FortisBC over the proposed pipeline, which would supply feedgas, and the provincial government over various conditions.
