DOE affirms intent to not revoke LNG export licences

To assuage the concerns of current and potential US LNG buyers, the Department of Energy (DOE) has reaffirmed its intention to not revoke or modify LNG export licences to countries that do not have free trade agreements (FTAs) with the US. Under US law the DOE must quickly and without modification grant licences to export LNG to countries that have FTAs with the US, as such trade is presumed to be in the national interest.
