LNG helps to ease US-EU trade war talk

The US could reverse its decision to impose steel and aluminium tariff s on the EU and work towards a limited free trade agreement, US president Donald Trump says, and both sides see a bigger role for LNG trade. Trump and European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker reached an agreement to prevent an escalation of the trade dispute, following their 25 July meeting. The EU imposed retaliatory duties on US products after the US introduced new tariff s on steel. The Trump administration has been weighing new charges on imported automobiles in recent weeks.
