Sonatrach feels 'huge' need to find new LNG markets

Algerian state-owned Sonatrach faces a "huge necessity" to find new markets for its LNG exports because of slowing demand growth in Europe, vice-president of marketing Ahmed Mazighi says. The company has reaffirmed its eagerness to boost exports to Asia - which is projected to remain the primary driver of demand growth in the run-up to 2030 - as it looks to counterbalance weak European demand during the summer months.
