PGNiG signs supply deal for US LN G

Polish state-controlled oil and gas company PGNiG has signed a five-year deal to buy US LNG from the UK’s Centrica. Centrica will deliver up to nine LNG cargoes to the 3.6mn t/yr Swinoujscie terminal in 2018-22, starting with two shipments next year. PGNiG expects a total of about 800mn m3 of pipeline equivalent to be delivered. Centrica sold a spot cargo to PGNiG earlier this year. Centrica’s deal with PGNiG is on des basis. Centrica has a 20-year contract to buy up to 1.75mn t/yr of LNG, equivalent to around 243mn ft3/d (2.5bn m3/yr) of gas, from the US Gulf coast Sabine Pass LNG terminal, which PGNiG says will be the primary supply source for its five-year deal.
