US LNG exports fall in June despite new capacity

Export volumes from US LNG facilities fell even as the number of loadings held fat in June against May and as exports started from the Cameron LNG project. US liquefaction projects loaded 41 cargoes in June but only 2.92mn t was shipped, against 3.06mn t a month earlier, judging by vessel size. Loadings at Cheniere Energy’s 25mn t/yr Sabine Pass, 5.75mn t/yr Cove Point and 10mn t/yr Corpus Christi terminals slipped to 39 cargoes from 41 in May, with the newly commissioned Cameron LNG loading its frst two cargoes in June.
