Finnish Gasum's first-half LNG sales rise

Finland's Gasum increased its LNG sales in the first half of 2018 from a year earlier, owing mainly to demand growth from the marine fuels sector. Gasum sold 3.2TWh (464,000m~3) of LNG in January-June this year, up from 3.1TWh in the same period a year earlier. Gasum supplies LNG to the marine fuels, heavy road transport and off-grid industrial sectors in Scandinavia. The sales include those of Gasum subsidiary Skangas, which supplies LNG as a marine fuel in the region. Skangas plans to develop its LNG supply operations in other European markets.
