Gasoil exports rise

Russian exports of gasoil, including diesel, heating oil and low-viscosity marine fuel, rose by 4.7pc to 50.77mn t in 2017 (see table). Rail supplies of higher-sulphur product rose, while deliveries of 10ppm sulphur diesel through the Transneft pipeline system fell slightly. Rail shipments were 10.5pc higher than a year earlier at 22.08mn t, with supplies to Black Sea ports rising because of stronger economics for shipments to the Mediterranean market compared with those through Russia's northwest ports (see table). Rail deliveries to Novorossiysk jumped by nearly a quarter to 8.18mn t - accounted for mostly by high-sulphur gasoil supply from the 135,000 b/d Orsk, 60,000 b/d Ilsky and 62,000 b/d Krasnodar refineries.
