Russian private-sector railcar manufacturer OVK is putting its tank-container ship- ping subsidiary, Unicon 1520, up for sale, market participants say — although OVK declines to comment. The new leadership at OVK views Unicon 1520 as “a non-core, non-performing asset… But the business still has long-term agreements with some European tank-container leasing companies,” one freight forwarding company says. The management team at OVK has undergone signifcant changes since the arrival in December 2018 of chief executive Timofey Khryapov — a former chairman and frst vice-president of trading company Areti.
